Avignon and Châteauneuf-du-Pape have something special in common : the Popes, who had Avignon as a permanent home and Châteauneuf-du-Pape as
a summer residence in the XIVth century. Nowadays both cities are popular worlwide thanks to other assets. Avignon hosts one of the greatest theatre festival, showing more than 1000 performances
from July 6th until July 29th. Châteauneuf-du-Pape has one of the best-known crus in the Rhône area. We shall start the day with a tasting and cellar visiting in picturesque
Châteauneuf-du-Pape, have lunch in
a local typical restaurant. We shall then carry on with a short visit of Avignon followed by a theatrical performance from the Off Festival of your own
choice.
